Woodlets Heat Logs burn at least twice as hot due to their high calorific value (17.3 MJ/kg) and their low moisture content – less than 10%.
MADE FROM 100% SUSTAINABLE SOURCES
Our heat logs carry the only globally recognised badge of sustainability – the Galloway and Southern
Ayrshire Biosphere certification mark. We collect forestry brash sourced within 60 miles of our factory
in south west Scotland and turn it into Woodlets Heat Logs by drying the wood, and compressing it. The
natural lignin in the wood binds the heat log as it is compressed.

Forests play a vital role in our environment. We are committed to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) and as a result, we replant around 6 million trees a year.

PLASTIC IS NOT RUBBISH… A word about our wrapping
Our plastic is easy to recycle and has a lower carbon footprint than a lot of paper packaging.
We use wrapping that is made from 30% recycled plastic. By recycling recycled plastic we can give it a new life. What we want – and need – is to avoid producing more plastic waste.
We can help stop that… It’s not about the amount of plastic we use; but rather what we do with it once it’s done its job.
Plastic is perfect for recycling. Woodlets Heat Logs are packaged using recyclable LDPE04 plastic (Low Density Polythene). We are trialing ‘paper’ alternatives but until a waterproof paper can be found that isn’t a mix of polymer sandwiched with paper (unrecyclable in the UK), Woodlets prefers the idea of recycled plastic. This allows us to keep costs down, while giving us the satisfaction that we’re removing a certain tonnage of plastic from the environment to turn into our wrapping.
Ultimately, we want to demonstrate to customers that we are a business which is dead serious about sustainability.
